MERCANTOUR national park
The Mercantour became a National Park in 1979 when this exceptional site was awarded the highest level of state recognition.

 

In the upper Verdon valley, its protected central area covers 54km².
Val d’Allos is at the edge of the Mercantour national park, which represents 36% of Allos area.

Thanks to this national park, you will no doubt see its fauna, flora and colourful alpine flowers.


This protected area, open to everyone, is regulated by common sense rules :

  • No dogs even on lead
  • No gathering
  • No litter
  • No fire
  • No camping
  • No mountain bikes or vehicles
